Iâm Kiome and my passion for working towards gender equitable research was sparked when I read Caroline Criado Perezâs book âInvisible Womenâ. It was like a lightbulb moment for me! I really started to notice things in my everyday life that werenât working well for me, because they werenât designed for me. Every time I go to fill my car up with petrol, I hate the fact that I end up having to hold it with two hands for comfort, because itâs simply not been designed for smaller hands!
My background is in Psychology, having completed my undergrad before joining the Human Factors Engineering Team until 2021. I am currently a Visitor at the University of Southampton for the School of Engineering.
