My name is Daniel and I believe that equality and equity are for everyone. My background is in Computing and Human Factors Engineering. I am currently a Visitor at the University of Southampton within the School of Engineering.
While certain objects and activities might ‘just work’ for some, there may be others who are inconvenienced, excluded, or even endangered by their design. Being part of the Close the Data Gap working group is an opportunity to address this within our research, fostering an inclusive culture where the outputs benefit everyone. With technology and complex systems a pervasive part of modern life, it is essential to ensure that their design and operation is inclusive, fair, and equitable to all.
